the story
Matriarch/patriarch dies, and the will stares that the good son can distribute the assets at his discretion or keep them all ( because he’s the one who was always there for the deceased, although that reasoning isn’t stated). At the reading of the will, everything is left to the “good” son. General bitching and complaining as other family members/friends’ stories come out, explaining how/why they became estranged from the deceased. Good son has to decide whether or not to distribute the assets or keep them. After he decides, he tells the lawyer, who plays a final message from the deceased as to why they left the decision with the good son and what their regrets and final thoughts and feelings are before they die.
